New apprentices work paid on-the-job training in the electrical field full-time during the summer months. During the school year of September to May, apprentices work four paid days per week in the field and attend one day of class per week at our St. Michael training center. Entry into the program is competitive as we receive more than one thousand applications each year and can only hire in as many new apprentices as are needed to fill open calls for work from our union contractors.
